Continuing AT&T internet problems have caused delays in blogging and keeping in touch with family and friends but we persevere.
Good trip to Casa Grande Arizona from Jan 29 to Feb 5 for Gourdfest. Our friend Tom Brudnicki was a wonderful host to myself, Barbara, Sally and Russell for the week. Barbara and Sally worked hard increasing their gourd art skills and I went on adventures and shopping trips with Tom and Russell.
On our last full day we toured the Phoenix Botanical Gardens and did some shopping in the big city.
Don survived well back in Texas with friends in the park feeding him dinners so he didn't go hungry.
Coming back to Texas, life continues to be busy. 16 members of our TG Bike Club participated in the 20 mile bike tour for Arbor Day in McAllen. We completed the ride in 2 hours - starting early at 7 AM. There are birthdays to celebrate and potluck dinners for different reasons - the Canadian potluck as an example. I am planning one for all the ladies in the park whose first name begins with M A and that adds up to 40 ladies. Another one I am planning is a chili competition with 10 couples. Next week is the Can-Am Golf Game and Don has a Can-Am baseball game coming up in March. Don carried the Canada Flag for Flag Sunday this past Sunday at Church in the Hall. We signed up for 5 one hour massages at a local Massage School - only $100 for us Winter Texans.
The weather has been great so life is good. March 20th is set as take off day - heading for a week in South Carolina and then Easter weekend at Tom and Diana's in Virginia.

    Whew!!!!! You will need to return to Lakefield to have a rest but I know that you like challenges. Such good ideas though.Nice to have a holiday from a holiday.

Wednesday June 19, 2019 – Stopped at Questrade and to see Grampa in Toronto on route to Larry and Annette’s for tea and dropping off van before our Icelandair (Frequent Flyer # F14004039760 and F14004039745) flight 602 to Reykjavik, Iceland at 9 PM. We had time to have a relaxed dinner in the Premium Lounge at the Toronto Airport. That was fortunate since all we got on the flights that night was a bottle of water. Thursday, June 20, 2019 -  We flew 5½ hours to Iceland to change planes (one hour layover) to complete our trip to Stockholm, Sweden in 3 more hours from 7:35 AM (Iceland time) to 12:40 PM (Sweden time).   On arrival we located the 20 minute high speed train terminal under the airport and boarded the downtown Stockholm train (Arlanda Express Train - $49 CAN - prearranged) for a 20 minute ride to Central Station. Haven't blogged for awhile because the weather has improved and couldn't stay inside when it is beautiful outside. So I have to mention the highlights for the past 10 days. On Wednesday, Feb 15/12 about 30 TG Bike Club members participated in the McAllen Golden Years Bike and Birding Event at Bentsen State Park (about 30 minutes away by car). We traillered the bikes there and then rode around the park. We saw kisadees, red shouldered hawks, greenjays and altamira orioles, plus 3 milk snakes sunning themselves in a creek. Don got to go to another Killer Bee Game but unfortunately the bees lost that night. I didn't get to this one since I had Cuddle Club at the hospital that night. Feb 18. I attended the Pioneer and Ranching Craft Day at the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg on Feb 18. Another week has gone by in sunny Texas and now I have to try and remember what we did special this past week. There has been lots of golfing since the weather has been nice. Here is a picture to show this to be true. Don goes out to men's golf on Monday mornings and I tried Ladies Golf on Thursday morning and didn't embarass myself too badly. At the weekly park meeting it was announced that there are 875 residents in the park now and some more expected in the next 2 weeks. I went to the evening entertainment on Tuesday evening - "Gold Wing Express" - a father and 3 sons from Branson Missouri - very good musicians/singers and funny too. Spanish class is an hour on Wednesday and we have homework too but it may need alot more time than that to get it to sink into our brains. Wednesday afternoon, Don and I went into old McAllen for a massage - a deal out of the newspaper - we each had a 45 minute full body relaxation massage for a total of $45.00 - it was a good deal. On
